Wow, our little girls are a day old. It was hard to believe that they were really here with us. Both the girls started feedings that day. Zoe was started off at 4 ml of breastmilk and Kenslee was at 6 ml. Also I was able to hold both girls for the first time. I kangroo (held skin to skin) Zoe  and held Kenslee swaddled up in a blanket. It was hard to believe that I was a mommy. I carried these two for as long as I did never truly realizing that when I had them that it would change so much in my life! We were truly blessed with these two healthy babies!

Zoe
  2lb 7oz

Kinslee

We prayed for these children and the Lord granted us what we asked of Him -Samuel 1:27

Today was the day that we would meet two little precious girls. All through out the pregnancy I wonder what these little girls would look like and what type of personality they would have. The day started off with heading down for my last sono that I would have...ever? Both girls looked amazing except for Baby B (now Zoe) was smaller than Baby A (Kinslee). It was decided there that I would have these girls today and there was no turning back. Once back in my room....a whirlwind of things happened to prep me for the c-section. They actually let me walk down to the OR (unlike before when they wanted to transport me in my bed for my two sono but I convinced them to let me go down in a wheelchair). Everything was underway and at 10:43 am little Miss Zoe Christine was welcomed in world and then a minute later at 10:44 am Miss Kenslee Marie joined our happy family of four now..plus two four legged puppy dogs that were in the kennel.  Zoe was 2lb 10oz and 15.75in long while Kenslee weighed 3lb 15oz and was 17.32in long. Zoe, our little spit fire came out letting us all know that she wasn't happy at all to leave such a warm environment. At that moment when Nate saw how active she was, he turned back to me said "Baby that's our Zoe." Kenslee on the other hand didn't really want anything to do on the outside world and needed a little bit of oxygen. We knew this would be our laid back girl and Kenslee fit her just perfect. Of course being early at 33 1/7 weeks and for Zoe's size they were both admitted to the NICU. Everyone there was amazing! I can't thank them enough for taking such amazing care of my little girls and all the support they have given Nathan and I. They are amazing coworkers and I'm proud to be apart of such an awesome group of nurses! Today was the most memorable and life changing day!
